OPEN CIRCLE
Life-Enriching Programs and Services
that Educate, Entertain and Engage

OPEN CIRCLE is a new community-based initiative to connect people of like minds, while exploring individual and collective potentials. The goal is to help you create a more balanced, holistic and fully authentic life.

In the coming months, OPEN CIRCLE will begin presenting cultural events and educational programs including film festivals and community forums, as well as workshops and classes on a wide variety of subjects - from spirituality and wellness to creativity and social issues. Check out the website, currently under construction at
www.OpenCircleOnLine.com

While the Internet gives you instant access to information, and you can read all the books you want in print, neither can match the transformational power of learning and applying knowledge with other people. All of OPEN CIRCLE’s classes and programming seek to provide you with that synergy.

Accordingly, OPEN CIRCLE is engaged in discussions with several noted area teachers to develop a select calendar of offerings in Fall/Winter 2005. A sampling of the high caliber of instructors with whom they’re speaking is detailed below.

• LAURIE BORNSTEIN is a nationally recognized Feng Shui practitioner, Master Teacher of Interior Alignment Feng Shui, Harmony Life Coach and a mentor for the Western School of Feng Shui.

• LIZ BROWN is a leading consultant in the field of Feng Shui, and monthly columnist for “Kansas City Wellness Magazine.”

• ELIZABETH CUTTING is a renowned local writer, astrologer, business consultant, speaker, seminar producer and workshop facilitator.

• CHARLA CARNES is a Certified Professional Life Coach, helping clients access individual resources and creativity, and build upon their unique strengths.

• JILL MINKOFF works as a consultant and process guide to promote alignment of individual’s behaviors with their corresponding goals, through her company - Aleph Systems. She is a Certified Spiritual Counselor through Doreen Virtue, Ph.D and the American Board of Hypnotherapy; and is currently deep into her studies to enter a Rabbinical program.

• SUSAN TOWER is a visionary artist whose paintings facilitate healing. From well before her early days as a Hallmark artist, and then freelance designer, Susan has been absorbed in drawing and writing about Nature and Spirit.

NATIONAL MUSEUM OF WOMEN
IN THE ARTS

The National Museum of Women in the Arts opened in Washington, D.C. in 1987. The Museum is dedicated to promoting and educating the public about the ever-expanding spectrum of women artists. In 2003, a NMWA Kansas/Missouri State Committee was established to afford local arts enthusiasts an opportunity to get involved in the Kansas City area.

Liz Brown is an Inaugural Member of both the National Museum and the local Committee, and can attest to the good works and quality reputation of the dynamic groups. The local Committee is a particularly active group, sponsoring monthly “Arts Outings” – exciting arts events including studio tours, dance performance, tours of private collections, and demonstrations by renowned locals – as well as travel excursions, with the finest experiences in a wide range of arts.

If you are interested in information about the local KS/MO Committtee ($35/year) or the National Museum (+$40/year), check out the website at www.nmwa.org
